Components needed to adapt and become several items to give the idea that the show was spontaneous. In a pivotal scene the ‘damsel in distress’ and our Hero are staying at a peculiar hotel. The reception area was created with what appeared to be two stacked travel chests with a board behind for hanging the keys. Once the couple signed in for a room, the hotel owners turned the board around revealing a wardrobe which would open to become a fold down bed complete with lights. Consideration was given to size and structure of the wardrobe. It needed to be wheeled on, however, sturdy enough for two actors to jump on during an argument. A simple solution which became one of the most memorable items.
